Extracurricular Activities

French

In partnership with the Little Language Academy, we offer weekly French lessons. At Little Oaks, we believe in fostering a love of languages from a young age. Our French curriculum is tailored to introduce the French language in a fun and engaging way.

Our lessons consist of games, songs, and interactive activities that make learning French enjoyable and memorable. We introduce basic vocabulary and phrases through colourful visuals, stories, and hands-on experiences.

Our curriculum is designed to build upon previous knowledge gradually. As children advance through our programme, they develop a solid foundation in French vocabulary and pronunciation.

We encourage parent involvement in the learning process. Through regular updates on the topics your children are exploring, so you can practice the vocabulary at home and inviting parents to join in with our lessons!

Dance

We believe in the power of dance to nurture creativity, confidence, and physical development in young children! Our dance lessons provide a safe and supportive environment for our children to explore movement freely. Led by our qualified dance teacher, children are encouraged to express themselves through dance, fostering creativity and imagination.

Through a blend of structured activities and imaginative play, children learn basic dance concepts such as rhythm, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness.

Our dance program promotes physical fitness and healthy development. Through playful movement exercises, stretching, and energetic dance routines, children improve their strength, flexibility, and overall motor skills.

Yoga

Our yoga lessons focus on gentle, age-appropriate movements that promote flexibility, strength, and body awareness. Children are guided through a series of poses and sequences designed to engage their imaginations and cultivate mindfulness. We encourage creative expression and exploration in our yoga sessions.

Simple breathing exercises are incorporated into each lesson to help children develop a sense of calmness, focus, and emotional resilience.

Yoga poses challenge children to develop balance, coordination, and gross motor skills in a supportive and non-competitive environment. Through activities and games, children learn to control their bodies and move with confidence.
